In an effort to answer recent criticism, the blog post round-up has changed a little this week.

Any blog that is hosted by the Commercial Appeal or written by a Commercial Appeal staffer is noted with a (CA). The scope of the posts now include other news sites, such as Fox13, Channel 3, and ABC24. Those, too, are noted with their original sources.

The blogs this week were dominated by more talk about the presidential candidates, discussions about pit bull bans, and complaints about the bitter, bitter cold.

Oh, yeah, and Memphis was promoted to the top basketball spot in the country.
